Commercial Soaps have a lot of chemicals and detergents that dry out the skin. (Just look at the ingredients label!) That's why you have to apply moisturizing creams after washing with them. FRENCH MILLED A French milled bar is the only type of soap bar that is long lasting and will not dissolve with use or get soft and tacky.
